“I hired AS Farr to install an extractor fan, which I assumed was a pretty basic request. After drilling a bunch of unnecessary holes in the wall, the electrician did eventually manage to install the fan. The work required the installation of a roof cowl, which I was told would happen within a week, along with repairs to the wall. After months of chasing I was told someone would be on site to deliver the work in the following few weeks. This subsequent work was never completed, which means water is now pooling in the fan and causing further damage to the surrounding paneling (which, tbf, probably needs replacing anyway because of all the holes they punched in it). When I followed up with AS Farr to request they honour the 12 month guarantee listed on their website, I was told I should be grateful they never charged me for the fan. I am now going to have to hire another company to both finish the initial installation and to repair the damage done. A genuinely shambolic affair.”

“Disappointing experience. Dropped off an item for repair. Despite several emails, it was 6 months before I got my item back only to find it hadn't been repaired. Turns out they'd not put my details with my item so no one knew who's it was but no one was replying to my emails either in that time. The quote was expensive just to rewire something very straightforward and basic so I was kind of happy to go elsewhere anyway. Just annoyed it took so many months and lots of my time for nothing. A piece of my item went missing somewhere along the way too, nothing major, just just adds more salt to the wound.... The staff member who assisted me at the 6 month mark was lovely and explained there had been a change of staff and was apologetic, so hopefully this is an unusual occurrence for the business.”
