About AJ Flamecontrol
Electrician in Paget, QLD servicing underground coal mining equipment, overhauls, rewiring and statutory inspections.
AJ Flamecontrol is an electrical contractor based in Paget, Mackay, working mainly for the underground coal mining industry. The business handles equipment overhauls, rewiring, statutory inspections and mobile servicing, and also designs, installs, maintains, inspects and repairs electrical mining equipment and systems. Work covers explosion-protected Exd equipment, intrinsically safe equipment, diesel machine electrical systems, methane system upgrades, load testing and full function testing, along with Code C inspections and audits against AS4871 and AS60204. A mobile service takes the team to mine sites around Mackay, the Bowen Basin and into the Hunter Valley.
The company was founded in 2002 and is locally owned, with a workshop holding AS/NZS 3800 and ISO 9001 certification for work in explosive atmospheres. Its electricians are trained for both surface and underground work, and the business holds a Queensland electrical licence and a NSW licence. Typical general electrical work such as wiring, power points and lighting may also be available, so it is worth contacting the business to check what it takes on outside mining.
