“As part of our new home build I would like to share my experience with Earthed Out Electrical (Matt McCallum) who our builder used for the installation of the electrical equipment on site and also for the fault rectification works under the defects liability period. First impressions do count, don’t they? Our first impression of Earthed Out Electrical was that one of their staff drove his car down a steep batter instead of using the flat access path towards the house and then ran over and destroyed a field gully pipe which was clearly visible sticking out the ground by half a meter. The driver then stepped out of the car and walked away as if nothing had happened. This impression of no accountability for what he had done should follow us throughout the building project and the fault rectifications process. Once the home build was finished, we had a number of electrical defects to be rectified, and we found that Matt (the owner) was not accommodative in rectifying those defects at all. Just the opposite, it was difficult to get him to come back on site. On quite a few occasions he did not reply to our emails and phone calls.
