“I recently had Frankston Antennas relocate my existing TV antenna from an eaves/fascia mount to a new tile roof tripod mount. The physical installation work itself was done well—the technician safely removed the old bracket, installed the new tripod mount securely on the roof tiles, and re-attached my existing antenna. Raising the antenna higher on the roof has noticeably improved my TV signal reception. However, I was charged $549 (incl. GST) for the job. Given that no new digital antenna was supplied and no new coax cabling was installed—reusing all of my original equipment—this price is well above market rates for a mount-only relocation. $550 is what most technicians charge for a complete brand-new system installation with new aerials and full rewiring. While I am happy with the signal result and the technician's workmanship, I feel significantly overcharged for the scope of work provided. I would strongly advise future customers to request itemized quotes and compare prices before booking.”
