  “The reviews of 2 years ago are positive for GUS but, frankly, they seem to have lost the plot. I was allocated GUS via Western Power and given the choice, I would never choose them. Admin is uncontactable - they don't answer the phone nor respond to emails. Jobs scheduled saw traffic management on site but no GUS and there is no notice of when anyone was to be on site (three failures to show up) with schedules being effectively meaningless. Drilling and installation team - friendly and polite but really don't have a clue - arrived on site not knowing what was required despite all required information being supplied to the company, they were about to cause significant damage to infrastructure until I stopped them (they should have known better given their job), they had no respect for the client's and neighbours' environment - a clean and tidy site at the start was left in a mess, the drilling team left considerable lubricant pooled on the road and on a neighbour's verge and washed down the drill on the road and left the waste there. Quality was clearly not on the checklist! The traffic management team (a subcontractor) had little to do (very little traffic) and spent their time fil”

However the guys from G.U.S. were respectful, thoughtful, friendly and helpful and the job was a great deal less stressful than I'd expected. They were also very constructive in their negotiations with the extremely unhelpful subcontractor from ATCO.”
