Firstly about the best place to put it and its associated bits so as not to ruin the look of the front of the double weatherboard house. We sorted a compromise that I can live with. It took a while and a bit of angst on my part. Second it took a while to get the app working so I could control it. Third I still don’t really know how to get the best out of the app and no-one seems to be available to help me with that. 4th it cost a LOT more than I was planning on. 3 times more. It’s not just the battery but also moving the electrics to a new place and the gateway box plus I got 6 more panels. So while I’m pretty happy now I think I’ll be dead before I’ve paid it off. I’m 75. But I’m saving the planet a bit and the house value should be a bit higher.”

All workers pleasant and got the job done efficiently and well. Jeff was the only one of multiple quotes I got who actually got on the roof and went under the house. All others had a minimal look and then used satellite imagery to do their design so who knows what $urprise$ there would be. Not the cheapest, but there were more expensive quoting salesmen who would leave the difficulties for a subcontractor to sort out and who just did not know the rules around battery siting.
