“My elderly 90 YO mother was paid a visit from Energy Australia to upgrade her Main Switchboard to a smart meter. As her board was over 60 years old (ceramic main fuses and asbestos panel to name a few issues) their technicians would not work on it and advised it was defective and needed a total upgrade. These upgrades can only be completed by a level 2 electrician who is certified to work on live power connections. I came across True Local Electricians in our local paper and they were very highly recommended on google so i arranged a quote with them over the phone. Anthony attended within 3 days as arranged and met me onsite. He opened the board and clearly explained what would be required under the building code and applicable laws, indicating the areas of interest and methods that would have to be implemented to complete the works. He spoke to my mother and detailed how things would go should we accept his quote advising that he would be updating the board with a smart meter during the process alleviating the need to deal with Energy Australia again or this matter. His manner and demeanor made mum feel comfortable with the process and put her at ease. The quote arrived that after”
